Back on a very cold January Saturday I took part in the Ipswich Parkrun at Chantry Park, little did we all know that would be the last Parkrun to be held there. The Council were concerned over the damaged 400 runners were doing to the glass around the park.
Fast forward 6 months and it’s back! With a rebrand to Christchurch Park Parkrun and a new venue at Christchurch Park in the centre of Ipswich, nearly 700 runners braved the heat to take part in the first run of the relaunched Parkrun
The route is a 2 and half loop course around the beautiful park. Suffolk has a reputation for being fairly flat as the hill at Christchurch Park comes as a shock!
